INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TODAY

I am taking the liberty of admitting that the information technology field is every day changing and growing.

This said I will express my opinions of what these technology changes are doing as a society in my opinion.

I believe we have gotten very dependant upon the systems housing information and just how they flow together, to keep us all in touch with each other. This is a vast field of technologies working together, often spanning several networks to get a message from one person in one place or town, and sending it as fast as possible onwards to the recipient, whether that be a person or a machine. We Have hard wired devices, and now we have wireless devices that can keep us connected to the rest of the world often with no discernable lag. I believe the technology is thus a huge leap ahead of even 100 mere years ago, when to get some up to date information from one side of the world to the other was a huge task.

Modern information technology uses many integrated systems that include systems underground, above ground, in the very air, and going about the globe in space systems that can even pinpoint where a person is within a few inches, this has i believe made for a much safer and closer knit world society than we have had, and continues to provide a growth inspired mentality. I think we are evolving because of the closeness we can now achieve to therefor learn more about far away places, this will bring many closer to work together to make more information systems and technologies that can link us to any conceivable bit of information in the planet one day is what I believe, even to the point of being able to near instantly train or teach any new information or technology by direct mental stimulation or connection. I believe we are still the ultimate in the sense of limitless adaptability, so for many generations I believe we will continue to see many marvels that one generation dreams as impossible, and yet the next brings into very being. I am inspired by the events of the last few decades, as it has shown me that the sharing of ideas and information has resulted in a closer community in the world, where people from all over can work on projects as one, even if they never have physically met. I appreciate that we can view, see, hear from far distances, and that technology let me share my opinions with you today, for example. I am using a phone line, to connect to the Internet which is just a bigger line connecting bigger computers together really. Some are connected on various capacity of cabling, to produce the effect of more roads for the data to travel through. The hi speed cable, Isdn, wireless etc all use faster means to transmit and receive data, be it sound, words, or video.
